Ex-Resonate LLC handles products from the following manufacturers.

PHORNANO Holding GmbH

PHORNANO Holding GmbH (4n), an Austrian company, is headquartered in Korneuburg, located 20 km north of the capital, Vienna.

Founded in 2016 by nanotechnology expert Patricia M. A. Farias and high-tech entrepreneur Andreas Stingl, it is a nanotechnology provider.

4n specializes in the development and manufacturing of functional nanomaterials and systems, focusing on sustainable processes. (Figure 1):

Figure 1: 4n’s two business areas are metal nanoparticles and semiconductor nanoparticles.

VerdeQuant: This product utilizes a sustainable process for manufacturing zinc oxide nanoparticles. It is characterized by its strong antibacterial activity, while simultaneously being non-carcinogenic and having low skin permeability.

SERS Substrate: This is the “4n4SERS Surface-Enhanced Raman Scattering (SERS) Substrate,” based on 4n’s noble metal nanoparticles. It is ideal for the trace detection of analytes at the molecular level.

SERS substrate is used for Raman spectroscopy. It can enhance the normal Raman signal intensity by several orders of magnitude through the Localized Surface Plasmon Resonance (LSPR) effect.

4n has developed its proprietary Signal Enhancement Heat Sink (SEHS) technology, resulting in the commercialization of the 4n4SERS substrate as a High-Performance (HP) SERS product.

01 | SECURE | A Signal Enhancing Heat sink provides a high damage threshold for maximum Raman signal at full laser power
02 | SENSITIVE | Powerful amplification lowers the limit of detection and a unique design allows for flexible application
03 | REPRODUCIBLE | proprietary nanomaterials and processes guarantee batch reproducibility. An identification code guarantees 100% traceability
04 | Operating Wavelengths | 651 nm / 785 nm / 1064 nm (405 nm version also under development!)
05 | Irradiation Power| 500 mW or less
06 | Well Volume | 5μℓ
07 | Substrate Size | 75 x 24x 0.3 mm (The size of a standard microscope slide)
08 | Substrate Material| Aluminum alloy wells on a polyethylene seal film.
09 | Usage | Used on a microscope stage/slide holder. Each substrate allows for the measurement of four individual samples.
